Graded r-Ideals

Authors

Abstract:

Let $G$ be a group with identity $e$ and $R$ be a commutative $G$-graded ring with nonzero unity $1$. In this article, we introduce the concept of graded $r$-ideals. A proper graded ideal $P$ of a graded ring $R$ is said to be graded $r$-ideal if whenever $a, bin h(R)$ such that $abin P$ and $Ann(a)={0}$, then $bin P$. We study and investigate the behavior of graded $r$-ideals to introduce  several results. We introduced several characterizations for graded $r$-ideals;  we proved that $P$ is a graded $r$-ideal of $R$ if and only if $aP=aRbigcap P$  for all $ain h(R)$ with $Ann(a)={0}$. Also, $P$ is a graded $r$-ideal of $R$  if and only if $P=(P:a)$ for all $ain h(R)$ with $Ann(a)={0}$. Moreover,  $P$ is a graded $r$-ideal of $R$ if and only if whenever $A, B$ are graded ideals of   $R$ such that $ABsubseteq P$ and $Abigcap r(h(R))neqphi$, then $Bsubseteq P$.    In this article, we introduce the concept of $huz$-rings. A graded ring $R$    is said to be $huz$-ring if every homogeneous element of $R$ is either a zero     divisor or a unit. In fact, we proved that $R$ is a $huz$-ring if and only      if every graded ideal of $R$ is a graded $r$-ideal. Moreover, assuming that      $R$ is a graded domain, we proved that ${0}$ is the only graded $r$-ideal of $R$.

Normal Ideals of Graded Rings

For a graded domain R = k[X0, ...,Xm]/J over an arbitrary domain k, it is shown that the ideal generated by elements of degree ≥ mA, where A is the least common multiple of the weights of the Xi, is a normal ideal.

Graded Prime Ideals Attached to a Group Graded Module

Let $G$ be a finitely generated abelian group and $M$ be a $G$-graded $A$-module. In general, $G$-associated prime ideals to $M$ may not exist. In this paper, we introduce the concept of $G$-attached prime ideals to $M$ as a generalization of $G$-associated prime ideals which gives a connection between certain $G$-prime ideals and $G$-graded modules over a (not necessarily $G$-graded Noetherian...

Graded Rings Associated with Contracted Ideals

The study of the ideals in a regular local ring (R,m) of dimension 2 has a long and important tradition dating back to the fundamental work of Zariski [ZS]. More recent contributions are due to several authors including Cutkosky, Huneke, Lipman, Sally and Tessier among others, see [C1, C2, H, HS, L, LT]. One of the main result in this setting is the unique factorization theorem for complete (i....

Minimal Graded Betti Numbers and Stable Ideals

Let k be a field, and let R = k[x1, x2, x3]. Given a Hilbert function H for a cyclic module over R, we give an algorithm to produce a stable ideal I such that R/I has Hilbert function H and uniquely minimal graded Betti numbers among all R/J with the same Hilbert function, where J is another stable ideal in R. We also show that such an algorithm is impossible in more variables and disprove a re...

A-graded Methods for Monomial Ideals

We use Z-gradings to study d-dimensional monomial ideals. The Koszul functor is employed to interpret the quasidegrees of local cohomology in terms of the geometry of distractions and to explicitly compute the multiplicities of exponents. These multigraded techniques originate from the study of hypergeometric systems of differential equations.
